CWall Sports & Entertainment Announces Newest Endeavor
CWall Sports & Entertainment (CWSE) is a sports media outlet that covers professional, collegiate and youth sports in the Washington Metropolitan area. Founder and CEO, Candi Waller has worked extensively throughout her professional career in the consulting and sports media industries to facilitate academic and athletic opportunities for high school and collegiate youth. Through this work, Ms. Waller recognized gaps in transferable skills education and athletics and decided to bridge these gaps by founding the philanthropic side to CWSE, the CWall Foundation.
On Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Top Golf National Harbor in Oxon Hill, MD, CWSE celebrated five years in business with the public announcement of the CWall Foundation. In attendance, were more than 70 Washington Metropolitan area residents, parents, sponsors, and affiliates. Proceeds from the event helped raise money to propel the start of the CWall Foundation journey. The Foundation plans to host future fundraising and celebratory events, and is now accepting donations at www.cwallfoundation.org.
The Foundation was established to enhance the transferable skills and sports programs available to local high school and collegiate athletes. By helping students prepare to engage with the press and public, learning tactics to effectively move through stages of team building and educating students on the various aspects of the sports, media and entertainment industry, and technology, the Foundation will foster training opportunities to help students become better scholars, improved athletes, and stellar future leaders.
The CWall Foundation members and its affiliates are committed to helping Ms. Waller accomplish this vision. “Cultivating Change on the Other Side of the Game,” a goal-oriented mission that will tackle the foundational aspects of the sports and entertainment industry which are core to an athlete’s job and overall performance. The CWall Foundation is based in Prince Georges County, MD. The Foundation will also work directly with sports programs and partner with other organizations that are directly invested in the overall well-being of student athletes.
Ms. Waller and the CWall Foundation are very excited to serve the community and work collaboratively with other jurisdictions in the Washington Metropolitan area that offer athletic programs and other opportunities for students to explore the sports, media, and entertainment industry.
